Delta’s In-Flight Wifi: GoGo
I’m traveling today, and rather than my usual carrier (American) I’m on Delta. I was pleasantly surprised when, during my Atlanta Layover, there were a few guys from Aircell handing out complimentary codes for a free session of in-flight wifi on the upcoming flight. I snagged one, and I’m now writing this from 10,000+ Feet
So far, I’m impressed. It’s $9.95 for a single flight (but free for me today). So far I’ve been able to use Adium, Tweetdeck, fireFox, and SSH with no problems. I had feared it would be through an http proxy, blocking everything else, but it’s all good so far.
I ran a SpeedTest, visible to the right, decent results…
Update: Flight’s almost over, and it worked flawlessly. I’m impressed! I was able to update Facebook & VizWorld, tweet, IM, and catch up on my GReader! All at 35,000 feet!
