Just saw on CNN they had a list of cuts made from the latest Economic Stimulus… A few of them:

Partially cut:

• $3.5 billion for energy-efficient federal buildings original bill $7 billion

• $75 million from Smithsonian original bill $150 million

• $200 million from Environmental Protection Agency Superfund original bill $800 million

• $100 million from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration original bill $427 million

• $100 million from law enforcement wireless original bill $200 million

I’m sorry, but WTF does funding the Smithsonian have to do with Economic Stimulus?  What does Law Enforcement Wireless have to do with Economic Stimulus?   Keep on reading the original list and you see that they had stuff in there about broadband, NIST, school nutrition, historic preservation, Forest Service, No Child Left Behind, and so much more… I’m glad to see it cut, but why in the world was it in there in the first place?

Pork Barrel Spending at it’s finest folks….
