Been a week since my last update, I know. I’ve been swamped in web design for the last week and the last thing I’ve felt like doin when I got home was more webwork. Nonetheless, I’m nearing the end of the tunnel and thought I’ld share the fruits of my labor.. At least, share the fruits that aren’t behind the iron curtain of “Government Review”.

A while back I registered the domain VizWorld.com. The plan was that myself and a few friends would setup a site to track and catalog scientific visualization information across our fields. There really doesn’t seem to be a central location on the internet that keeps track of all the hardware vendors and their newest stuff, all of the software vendors and their latest patches and newest versions, and all of the scientific stuff in the field. By combining our personal areas of expertise we could create a great community with forums, a blog, and a Wiki, all providing a new and engaging place to store and exchange information.

Well, I finally finished implementing the layout and the Blog and forums are live at www.vizworld.com . Check it out and feel free to join in. It’s still very early in it’s life, so tread lightly and let me know if anything breaks.
