As I mentioned earlier, Geeklog 1.4 is out. I bit the bullet and upgraded earlier this week. (Ok, honestly I’ve been chomping at the bit waiting for it to release).

So here’s a quick list of new things you can see in action here:

  1. Trackbacks – Now when I post a link to another blog, I’ll be making trackbacks. Same goes for others who reference my website here. Trackbacks will also appear on the left under Comments.
  2. Pings – Now my website will appear on Technorati when I update it, and Ping-o-matic will list it on numerous others.
  3. Syndication – As you’ll see on the left, I now support RDF1.0 and Atom0.3 feeds. I can also, if requested, create Atom1.0 and RSS1.0 feeds.
  4. Remote login – Now you don’t need to create a yeraze.com account to login, if you have a LiveJournal or Blogger account you can use those.

There’s also alot of behind the scenes stuff in this release. There’s a new WYSIWYG editor for posting stories, which I’m finding pretty nice. There’s also alot of fancy javascript scattered around to just generally make the site “feel” better. So enjoy, and feel free to report any problems.
