The sacrifice scene is pretty tough, but they didn't have any problems with it. What it did was really solidify the Witch as the "bad guy". Not some nebulous "the other side" bad guy, but the real Bad Guy. This is one of the first times my 4-year-old daughter really got that whole concept. When I asked her what her favorite part was, she said "When the Lion got the Bad Lady". This isn't the most dramatic or exciting part of the film, but I think she empathized with the meaning of good triumphing over evil. I took my 8, 5, and 4 year old kids to see it.
