Got a letter in the mail today from the European Patent Office (EPO) informing me of their compliance with Rule 17(3) EPC, Article 128(5). What’s that mean? I think it just means they were informing me that a patent that I the inventor/co-inventor on was finally processed.

You can find info on it here, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere else. My name is nowhere to be found on it, and it seems no inventors are listed on any of Z-Kat’s other patents, which is a shame. Hopefully it’s just a failing of the service, and not something that will apply to all of Z-Kat’s patents. If any of you other Z-Kat/Mako folks have information on what the patent numbers are for the ones that I signed (there were 7 or 8 of em), let me know.. I’ld like to have a list of them somewhere, just for future reference.

Since the letter came from the EPO and not the USPTO, I’m not sure if this means they’ve just submitted these patents for European approval, or if this is some automatic WIPO treaty thing.
