It seems alot of people are already doing their Christmas shopping this year, trying to avoid the rush. As such, I get alot of people asking me “So what do you want for Christmas this year?” Well, I’ve thought about it, and here’s some ideas.

One of the main things I need is tools, lots of tools. I’ve discovered that being a homeowner comes hand-in-hand with being a general Fix-it guy, and I’m woefully unprepared for it. Tools as simple as a shovel, I don’t have. So there’s the big idea this year: Tools… Specifically big tools & power-tools. I’ve got plenty of hammers and screwdrivers..

Also, I could use a few minor computer upgrades for those technically minded folks. I could use an extra gig of ram (the 1gig in my system now evidently isn’t the “uber” it used to be), and a new video card (my NVidia 5900 is showing its age). Also, my headset/boom-mic is falling apart and needs to be replaced. I once saw a really nice headset/mic at Radio Shack that was similar to a pair of Sony headphones my dad had, with a nice adjustable mic. I don’t see it anywhere on their website now, but I’m sure there’s something out there somewhere.

And perhaps the last thing, CHEAP GAS. Geez, I never thought I’ld see the tanks in Mississippi top $3 a gallon, but I did this weekend. Took me $40 to fill up my 2000 Toyota Camry, which was a totally new (and nauseating) feeling. Not looking forward to doing that again.
