Well, as you can see we’re online and operational. The old blosxom code is dead and gone. I kinda hated to see it go, but I sure won’t miss the hassle of fighting with it.

So for those of you that visit this site, there’s a few things you need to know:

  1. I allow user accounts. All comments will be anonymous unless you have an account. Accounts are free, so sign up if you want.
  2. Once you have an account, you can submit links & stories for me to review, and repost if I like. Not a feature that I expect will be used much, but we’ll see.
  3. The RSS feed has moved. The new link is on the Left Sidebar.
  4. The Wiki is still here, and nothing’s changed with that… for now.
  5. The links section has moved, it can now be accessed from the “Web Resources” link at the top.

It’ll take another day or two before I’m really “in the groove” with geeklog, but so far I’m enjoying it.

Oh, by the way.. Why didn’t anyone tell me that they hated the old green & black scheme? I personally loved it, but it seems I was the only one….

Update 3:08pm
Ok, I symlinked the old RSS feed to the new location, so that nobody should have to update their links, unless they just want to. I also finally figured out how to add links to the topbar, so I removed the few I had added to the left. I also managed to get the RSS feed into the header, so that all you Firefox-ians can see the little rss-icon at the bottom of the page.
