First day on my new PC
That’s right. After 3 months at my new job, I *finally* get to work on my PC.
For the last 3 months I’ve been “borrowing” my boss’s SGI head. My PC came in about a month ago, but we’ve been waiting for IT to “rebuild” it (eg: Format, Reinstall Windows, install security measures, install all our software, etc). It was finally dropped in my work area 2 weeks ago, but we’ve been waiting for the network cable to be run.. Well, they finally ran the cable Monday.
So now I have my Dual Xeon 3.6Ghz processors with Hyperthreading enabled (Windows shows 4 CPU’s 
), and 4 Gig of ram. WindowsXP can only see 3gig of it, we’re still waiting for XP64 to come out, but still.. This is the sweetest machine I’ve ever worked on
It’s a shame that all I’m running is 3D Studio Max on it in a few weeks and make it worth it Now to remember how to use Lookout… I mean Outlook..
