Well, today was my first day at ERDC. I got up at 7:00 (although I would have a hard time saying I ever actually went to sleep the night before), was out at 7:20, and rolled into the ITL parking lot at the stroke of 8:00.

I’ld love to tell you that I got to play on all the big iron and do some really kickass stuff todya. I’ld love to tell you that I got my fancy shmancy security badge & kerberos stuff. I’ld love to tell you they had to pry me away from my keyboard so they could close the door. Alas, that’s not the case. As I somewhat expected, I really didn’t do anything. I don’t have a security badge yet, so I can’t go anywhere without an escort. Since I don’t have a security badge, I don’t have sufficient clearance to use a computer, and since I can’t use a computer I can’t really do any work. So, I sat in the lab and read magazines until I couldn’t take it anymore and left. From what they tell me, it’ll probably be wednesday before I can really get anything started.

Here’s hoping tomorrow is a little more action packed :)
