Well, only 10 hours after the website was up, I wound up with 15 different Cialis advertisements posted on my website, as fake comments. Time to take action.

After about 20 minutes of playing around with some perl, I managed to hack my writeback script to check comments for certain “Spam” words. There’s now a list of “invalid” words, that if they appear in the comment, it’ll be rejected. Hopefully that’ll be enough. I write it flexibly enough that I could expand it to require a minimum of 2 matches against a longer list. Just let me know if it causes you any problems.
