New Joystick
I’ve been playing alot of Jump To Lightspeed lately, and I’ve been bitten by the Flight Simulator bug again. I have a Microsoft SidewinderForceFeedback joystick that I’m using right now, and it works great! Unfortunately, Microsoft has discontinued support for it which means I can’t use the force feedback, and there’s no guarantee it’ll keep working for long with the way they release OS updates and patches 
So I’ve been lookin around a little for a replacement, and today I think I found my dream joystick. I’ve heard really good things about Saitek‘s joysticks, especially the Cyborg Evo Wireless and, for Force Feedback junkies, the Cyborg Evo Force. Both are nice, but while I was looking around I found the X45 and X52 Flight Controllers! AWESOME! They’re a separate Joystick & Throttle control that give you a combined set of 3 8-way hat’s, over 8 digitals, and tons more !! The only difference I can see between the two is the X52 has a little LCD screen embedded in the throttle for some information. I don’t really understand the point of it, but it is kinda nifty. Also, the X52 is apparently more “authentic”, it’s partly metal and has soft rubber grips.
Visiting their store shows the the two of them at $80 and $130. Fairly reasonable considering what they are. I might start saving up for them
