Thank goodness it’s Friday
Today while I was chatting with DougAlcorn, he said :
* yea, enjoy that going to movies every weekend while it lasts party boy
I didn’t think much about it until just now, but me and Laura do go to the movies almost every weekend. Especially during the big summer movie seasons. Big budget blockbusters like Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, X-Men, etc. I suppose in a few more weeks, we’ll have other things to do on the weekend.
Even this weekend, we’re spending all day Sunday at the Childbirthing class. Starts at 9:00am and runs all day. Not that I’m complaining, but it’s (finally) starting to sink in that things are going to change. I probably won’t be staying up until 1:00am anymore watching Trigun or Inuyasha on the Cartoon Network every night. We won’t be going out to eat 3 or 4 times a week anymore. In fact, we probably wont’ do much of anything outside the house for several months I’ld imagine. At least until the folks come down and babysit for us
I’m actually pretty excited about the whole thing, although you probably wouldn’t know it from looking at me. It’s the next stage of growing up or something big like that. But I’m also terrified, because it’s a whole new level of responsibility. I have stomach problems from the amount of worry in my life now. If I don’t learn to relax soon my head might explode
Or worse, something more realistic.
I think it’ll be fun having a kid around. Especially when she grows up a bit, and we don’t have to clean diapers anymore. I know Laura’s looking forward to it, and the closer it gets the more I am too
But oh well, in classic fashion I’ld plow on with my usual motto: It’ll all work out somehow.
