Google Calculator
One thing I’ve been doing alot lately is temperature conversion. We watch little RhiannaHand’s temperature very closely, and the only thermometer we have is Celsius based. Living the the good ole USA, we only understand Fahrenheit, so I found an online temperature converted, but never could remember the URL.
Well, I just found out that now Google has a calculator function, so you can now search for 98.6 degrees fahrenheit in celsius and it’ll tell you 37 degrees!
So try out some more complex ones:
- half a cup in teaspoons = 24 US teaspoons
- mach 5 / speed of sound = 5
- Volume of the earth: 4/3 * pi * (radius of earth)^3 in mile^3 = 2.5987516 * 10^11 mile^3
- Density of the earty:
- (mass of earth) / (4/3 * pi * (radius of earth)^3)) in g/ft^3 = 156,162.543 g / (ft^3)
- (mass of earth) / (4/3 * pi * (radius of earth)^3)) in kg/ft^3 = 156.162543 kg / (ft^3)
- (mass of earth) / (4/3 * pi * (radius of earth)^3)) in lb/ft^3 = 344.279474 pound / (ft^3)
Although, technically, that last calculation is a little suspect because of the difference between weight (gravity dependant) & mass, it’s still a neat little thing to play with
