Sorry about the downtime there folks.

It seems something happened in the land of Starkville, and all of Bellsouth’s Frame Relays crapped out simultaneously. It took them a few hours, but they had it working again some time Thursday afternoon.

So why was I down until Friday night? Well, one of the other people who uses this server (which also hosts http://www.yerot.com, http://www.desireemichelle.com, and others) was running a game server, Counter-Strike I think. He was also running an IRC server to talk to his buddies when setting up games and stuff. Well, when service was finally restored, the two apps DoS’s the routers when they tried to re-establish the T1 link to Jackson. All the sudden traffic was causing problems, so they took the quick solution of just blocking the IP on the routers. So we were shut down until they got around to un-blocking it.

Oh well. I can’t complain. ToreyAlford hosts this for free for me. So I guess I get what I pay for :)
